Who we are
Vape & Go is a single-location retail store at 10829 SE Petrovitsky Rd, Renton, WA 98055. This site lets you browse our catalog and place orders for in-store pickup — we do not ship age-restricted products. This policy explains what information we collect through the site, why, and how you can control it. Questions can be sent to hello@vapengo.us.
Information we collect
Account information: email address and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) when you register. Order information: items ordered, pickup details, and order history. Identity verification: because our products are restricted to adults 21 and older, checkout requires a government-issued photo ID scan (front and back) and date of birth, which we retain to comply with age-restricted and regulated-product retail requirements. Payment information: card details you enter at checkout are sent directly to our payment processor to complete your transaction; we do not store your full card number. Communications: any message you send us through the support, complaint, or product-suggestion forms, plus the email address you provide for our newsletter, if you sign up. Technical information: standard web log data (IP address, browser/device user-agent, and timestamps) tied to your session for account security and fraud prevention, and aggregated site-usage analytics via Google Analytics (GA4).
How we use your information
To create and manage your account, process and fulfill pickup orders, verify that you meet the minimum age requirement for the products you’re ordering, respond to support requests and complaints, send order-related communications, and — only if you opt in — marketing emails about new products or promotions. We use aggregated, non-identifying analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
Identity verification documents
Photo ID images and the date of birth we collect for age verification are used solely to confirm eligibility to purchase age-restricted products and are accessible only to authorized staff reviewing verification requests. We retain these records for as long as required to comply with applicable regulated-product retail recordkeeping obligations, after which they are deleted.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the site and fulfill orders: our payment processor (to complete transactions), our cloud data/image hosting provider, and Google Analytics (for aggregated usage statistics). We may also disclose information if required by law, such as to comply with age-restricted product regulations or a valid legal request.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use an essential, HttpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in — it can’t be read by page scripts and is required for account features to work. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregated site usage; you can opt out using your browser’s ad-blocking or Google’s Analytics opt-out tools. A separate, non-cookie browser storage value remembers your light/dark theme preference and is never sent to our servers.
Your choices and rights
You can review and update your account details from your account page at any time. To request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data (subject to the identity-verification retention period described above), email hello@vapengo.us. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails.
Children
This site and its products are restricted to adults 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the date below and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
